    　商業英文裡常出現一個字「ball-park」，意思是「大概」的推測。例如我們常會說「ball-park figure」或是「ball-park number」都是指「大概」的數目或數字的意思。例句：

    　Manger: You don't have the sales number, do you？

    　你知道我們的銷售數字嗎？

    　Jane: I have a ballpark figure.

    　我有個大概數字。

    　或

    　If you can't tell me the exact cost, please give me a ballpark number.

    　假如你不能告訴我確切的成本，請給我一個大約的數字。

    　2. on a roll-勢如破竹、好運當頭

    　roll 作名詞是指「滾動的動作」，on a roll 是俚語用法，以物體滾動時的動力來比喻運勢之強，表示「好運連連」的意思。形容股市行情正好，可以用

    　The stock market's “on a roll”.

    　The author was on a roll when she published four best-selling books in a row.

    　那位作家氣勢正旺，一連出版了4本暢銷書。
